Set off on a hike direct from the hotel
Round hiking trail to the Kneipp pool facility / St. Martin bei Lofer / c. 30 minutes. Flat paths also make the route easier for older people, families with prams and smaller children. The modern Kneipp facility on the edge of the forest is a small paradise and the perfect way to revitalise your aching feet. It is fed by the cool, crystal-clear water of the Mossbach, which is of drinking water quality.
Golf walk / St. Martin / c. 1 hour. Get to know the area with a tour around St. Martin bei Lofer. A small circular walk with golf stations that breaks up the walk and provides plenty of entertainment. the clubs and balls are available free of charge from the St. Martin bei Lofer municipality. Holiday fun for the whole family.
Hike to Kirchental / St. Martin bei Lofer / c. 1 hour. A hike that takes place mostly in the cool forest area of St. Martin and is one of the most famous churches in the Salzburg area. Countless motif panels adorn the interior of this church, dubbed the "Pinzgauer Dom" (the Pinzgau cathedral) and the church is always worth a visit.
Hiking in the the Almenwelt Lofer
There are numerous well-maintained walking and hiking trails that lead through the unique natural and plant world of this popular holiday region.
Family hikes and trails suitable for pushchairs on the neighbouring Almwelt Lofer enable you to visit our mountain world with small children.
With the gondola lift to the mountains – cable car hikes are a great option for older guests and those who cannot walk too far, and a wonderful way to climb the mountains and even free of charge with the Saalachtal Card.

There’s already so much on offer at the Mittelstation, and you will be well served here at the Almgasthaus Loderbichl inn. A sunny terrace with a view of the Reither Steinberge mountains and a lovely playground invite you to linger. A small “gnome” circular walk (“Wichtelweg”) behind the inn is a highlight for younger visitors. Take a 15-minute walk through the cool forest, where you will discover gnomes and other animals, and which will lead you to a small petting zoo with rabbits, goats and other animals.
The Almbahn II railway takes you up to the heights:
The place, where will you find 2 alpine lakes. A 1 ½ hour walk to the Marmorsee lake is recommended, and the reservoir carved into the typical Loferer Alm red marble will provide an eagerly-awaited refreshing dip.
A huge adventure playground next to the Almenwelt Lofer gondola station will provide plenty of fun activities for children.
You can then walk down the waterfall path (“Wasserfallweg”), which is aptly named, where you will be walking against a backdrop of streams and waterfalls that flow down into the valley.
